How do you go about upgrading from one minor version to another, say 8.0.376.0 -> 8.0.390.0? The installer acts as though you have the current version and can only Remove it...

i purchase blue toothdoggle and when ever i install bluetooth soleil CD its asking for upgrade the service or activate the version. but i dont get any activation code with the product. now i am unble to use the products now . i am using 6.2.222.10

Dear, if you bought a software or a dongle from our website at the outset, now you can download Bluesoleil8 and activate it with the same way you activated Bluesoleil6 before; if you bought a dongle from other place, you should ask your supplier if the dongle support to activate our new software firstly. Purchased generic a dongle from eBay vendor "yallstore". When I complained that no drivers were included, he gave me (in broken english) a URL to download v6. When I try to access either one of my Plantronics BT headsets either with Skype or by manually unmuting in the BT cotnrol, the computer either reboots or BSODs. Skype sees the Bluetooth SCO Audio device, but it is greyed out when the headset is muted. Tried the "free-but-not-free-trial" version of v8, same results. Rolled back to v6 and the dongle can access my cell phone for file transfers just fine, but both headsets still reboot my computer. I am running XP Pro SP3 with a myraid of other USB devices which all work fine, and both BT headsets have been tested and found to work well with my cell phone. I have been a computer technician since the days of MS-DOS 3.3 and Windows 3.0, so I do have a clue what I am doing. I believe the problem to be related to the Bluetooth audio gateway. This is software hell, I am NOT impressed.

The version I received from the eBay vendor is 6.2.227, and came as a RAR archive titled CV063. Is this a bootleg copy of Bluesoleil? Despite the fact that the dongle seems to work fine other than with a headset, the vendor is sending me a replacement to try.

I bought this crap 2 years ago. This is one ancient useless piece of shit now, despite the recent update, since most modern phones are now based on iOS or Android, which this BS doesn't support anymore, so this BS is really what it stands for, aka BullShit. 
Also, since v7, support for some older PDAs has been dropped, which it supported quite well in previous versions, so this BS is double BS. 
The worst part is, that if you want to use it, it requires to be always activated first over the internet. Many parts of this BS require internet somewhy. It's suspicious, for example BlueSoleilCS.exe is constantly transfering data from and to China, Beijing, probably trying to steal sensitive data and planting trojans or rootkits. 
I wish I could get my money back for this BullShit, unless of course, chinks upgrade this crap to support modern hardware and remove the constant internet requirement/identity/private data theft.

No it's not free. Stay with your CD software, since the new version requires constant internet access and may not even support your current device(s) anymore.

I am a BlueSoleil doungle version 6 user and also registered in this site.Recently I download the version 8.0.390.0 but after installation it shown that you can't download more than 2 m.b. and you need to activate this but I can't find serial etc.So please help me as soon as possible.My email id is partha.com43@yahoo.in

Guess you're scum if you own anything else but 6.0. Just bought and installed a brand name dongle bundled with version 5.whatever and went through the hoops of signing up to get free update for nothing.
