Waste of time and Money, don't bother, buy from someone else! I had the older version and it gives me nothing but headaches, very unstable. Have to keep un-installing and re-installing software. Constant error messages of, "Bluetooth busy" or "Can't connect to device" .... NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT IN CHINA!  I had to call their US distributor Link Depot, a small outfit that tried real hard on their end to get it working, they could not. After several failed attempts and frustratinng hours trying I got it to work but even still it's not consistant.

When I sent an email to Soleil "Maggie" said they were aware of the problems with that model and said their solution was for me to upgrade, great except I have to pay for it! That's like me buying a car and it won't drive off the lot and the sales person saying, "Yea we know it does't run but if you pay some more we'll get you a car that actually runs!!!!

As you can see, your company is already getting bad feedback, and the fact that you have to "consider it" tells me China and the US is worlds apart in more ways than the obvious. How do you install B side friday night funkin?

Will somebody be kind enough to explain how to upgrade from version 6 to version 8? Can we use the same serial that was purchased for version 6 with version 8?

I've been a BlueSoleil user now for almost 2 years or more.  The product is great, realiable and works... however that being said... bluetooth technology is bi-directional.  That means the other device that blue soleil is talking to is prone to problems too.   I have experienced over and over again network stack buffer overruns in not one but two top brand mobile phones namely: LG Vu and Samsung Impression. And yes this will cause the bluesoleil to give an error "Device busy" or other error.  The only solution, and I repeat the only solution is to reboot the phone.  And in worse cases the phone battery has to be removed.  Bluetooth anything can be headache.  I also have a GE wireless bluetooh phone for LAN line.  It too has its on unique problems.  But as for Blue Soleil, their products have never given me a problem directly.

lawrenceN , As I know, BlueSoleil 6 can free upgrade to BlueSoleil 8, how about use the license of BlueSoleil 6 to activate BlueSoleil 8?

Please help to get my version working

I bought a cd with version 6 on it, but cannot install it. Using windows 7 64 bit, but not even the patch works. I have sent off the log to the corect place, but no reply yet. This is very important.

I tried downloading version 8 and it works, but I don't want to buy a new product, as i only just bought version 6, which on the box it came in, said that it is fine for windows7.

please advise

 Works perfectly! Been using Bluesoleil for a few years now and each release only gets better, no problem pairing with my smartphone  (Nexus One) or my bluetooth stereo headphones (Motorola s805). For those having problems I suggest you start with your computer, make sure it has all the latest Windows updates, sufficient ram and a current OS. Im running Windows 7 64 bit HP laptop with 6gigs of ram. I suspect folks having issues are probably using outdated machines. Keep up the good work Bluesoleil!

PS:  Whenever I have problems with this software I have to un-install/re-install and it works, the problem is the hassle, time, frustration... Whenever I make the slightest changes to my system that this software shares like, listen to music through my PC speakers, re-connect with my cel. ph.... it throws this software off. That is a sure sign it's UNSTABLE AND UNRELIABLE PRODUCT.  DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BLUE SOLEIL,  there are way too many options and companies when it comes to electronics to mess around with this company that doesn't even have a rep. in the US.  This economy is effecting China too, and whoever you are that is responding back with your lame answers doesn't get their s**t together you'll be fired and on the streets with the other 5 billion other Chinese looking for jobs that doesn't involve working with rice!!!  Can you tell I'm pissed?!  I'm very stress and frustrated with this crap. I do consulting for State government and when I'm on a important call and I lose the connection with my blue tooth and I have to reprogram my cel. ph. just to get the person back and apologize to them and the time it takes and to keep wondering, "will it f**k up this time or not...?"  I bought this mini-dongle and software so I don't have to eat up all my ce. ph. minutes and don't have to be tethered to my headset while using Skype. When it works it's great, but I"ve spent way more time trying to figure this out than actually use it.  I could spend the extra $13 and get the upgrade but at this point it's the principle that matters, and Blue Soleil doesn't have any principle!

I've done all the things you mentioned, the software is unstable and you know it. Now I'm having a problem where the sound keeps defaulting to my sound card speaker and mic. , I even disabled them and set my bluetooth as a default and it still screws up!!!

A good company doesnt' "consider" making their product workable for the customer they are smart business people who realize that the little they would miss out on in giving the customer a free up grade so they can enjoy (which by the way has been anything but a joy) is nothing compared to the BAD REPUTATION they will receive. LIke I mentioned to your so called C/S I work for the District Attorney for the state of California and I will make sure your products are pulled off the shielfs and you will lose millions in sales by the time I get done with you!!!   You have to consider a $13 upgrade???  I knew the Chinese were cheap but this is over the top.

We really understand what you have requirement.

We ask customer to use the upgrade version is only to provide them more opportunity to share more fun from BlueSoleil. As you are not intended to use it, you could only remain the old version. If problem occurs, we would help you.

 

As you mentioned to use the Skype, we would offer you to detail step about how to use it as follows.

1.       Right click Bluesoleil tray icon->My Device properties->Advanced->Tick Support Voip->Apply->OK

2.       Skype would pop up-> log in-> A dialog box ask you to tick Allow this program to use Skype ->OK

3.       Right click your headset icon -> Connect the Bluetooth Headset and Microphone .

 

If still failed, we would consider to grasp data for further analyze.

 

Another note: We would soon release a version 7 , you could use it, and about the free upgrade policy, we decided to take it into considerate. Thanks for your feedback and advice on us.

I ENTIRELY agree with the poster's disgust of this product AND vendor. The product has NEVER been fully functional. Despite PROMISES from tech support, dollars spent and immeasurable frustration, this software and it's distributor/vendor is a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, MONEY and PATIENCE!!!  DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER A PURCHASE!!!  I too am fully licensed and activated yet continue to be told I have to PAY for the upgrade!  PuhLEEEZE!!  UPGRADE???  For what??  A Piece O *ISH that has NEVER, I repeat, NEVER functioned properly!!!  Peace in your journey!  Fed-UP!

 Your customer support told me I need to pay for a upgrade. I don't care about faster transfer speed, and I don't mind having to plug in USB cables... I just want to use my bluetooth with Skype so I'm not tethered to a headset. Even your own US distributors couldn't get it to work on their end and simply said, "the software is unstable and support is not good"

I have version 5.4.277.0  After installing software and mini-dongle I would pair with bluetooth, the software would find my device "Plantronics Pro" I would then right click on the device and select "connect with device" that's when the error messages would occur. I even tried it while I put my bluetooth back in pairing mode.  Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not. I have to un-install and re-install the software to get it to work. Also If I should want to shut off the bluetooth for any reason (like to listen music on my desktop speakers and not through the bluetooth) I have to repeat the whole process again. It's one big hassle.

In this county the company usually gives the up grade to the customer in "good faith" for free when they've had these kinds of problems. You need to make it right.

Would you Please tell me which the Bluesoleil version are you using?

 

Our latest version have more function and make some great improvement than former version, so we suggest you to upgrade to latest version. If you are not want to use the latest version, you could still remain to use the old one. We are pleasure to support you, and we have support in china, you could also speak Chinese as you wish.

 

As you said that "Bluetooth busy" or "Can't connect to device", please tell me how did you do that step by step? And on which step that pop up such tip? Some error screenshot about them?
