I recently purchased a trendnet dongle. it came with a CD with the licensed version of IVT's bluesoleil. Where do I find the serial key? Is it within the hardware properties of the dongle? Or is it on the CD or install utility from the manufacturer?

Bluesoleil version2.7 is our history version, as it's too old, we don't provide any technical support.

Dear, you will receive an activate mail including serial number if you purchased successfully on our website. As you bought a dongle, it came with a CD. You need to install it and insert your dongle, the software will be activated, not need a serial number.
