As the fall begins to 'kick into high gear' as it were, it seems like the perfect time to write an article on some fall fishing tips and strategies. The fall has always been my favorite time of the year for fishing. The smell in the air, the cooler weather, the beautiful scenery, and the lack of fishing pressure all come together in the fall to make fishing truly enjoyable. Not to mention the fact that most of my trophy fish have been caught in the fall kastking baitcasting reels.
Implement one or all of these fishing tips today and become a much more successful angler.
Live Bait Is Your Friend - In the fall of the year fish seem to be 'stocking up' on food before the impending cold weather (in many parts of the world) sets in, which makes live bait a wonderful choice when fishing in the fall. Truth be told, I personally use live bait all year long, but it seems especially effective during fall fishing. Live baits such as worms, minnows, meal worms, and even crayfish can all be wonderful bait choices when fishing in the fall.
Be On The Water At The Best Times - You always want to make sure that you maximize your fishing time by being on the water when the fish are the most active. The easiest way to accomplish this task is to pay attention to the weather & moon and plan your fishing trips accordingly. These two forces of Mother Nature have a big impact on fishes feeding behavior and the more you understand this phenomenon the better.
